AVIVA pilots prepaid rewards card with Tsys and Raphaels Bank

TSYS Europe and AVIVA today announced the successful launch of the Rewards card pilot programme in the UK, using Raphaels Bank as the BIN sponsor.

The new prepaid Rewards card will be offered to Aviva Household customers and is now the second programme that Aviva has live on the TSYS Prepaid platform. Each Rewards card is preloaded with a value and can be used within a network of accepting retailers currently used for the Aviva insurance replacement card.

"When we first put the idea of the Rewards card to TSYS Europe, we knew it was going to be a tough task for them to complete the project within the timeframe we needed for a quick launch," said Howard Holmes for Aviva. "They have met this challenge, enabling us to have a successful launch of the Rewards card. This sends a strong message internally within Aviva that demanding programme timeframes can be met by TSYS Europe."

"Aviva is one of the leading providers of general insurance in Europe, and this product will support their existing customer portfolio using a prepaid product."

The product is Visa supported and uses Raphaels Bank as the BIN sponsor.

TSYS now processes multiple prepaid portfolios for major banks across Europe, including Bank of Ireland, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and LloydsTSB.

Raphaels Bank are BIN sponsors for numerous prepaid cards in the UK, including Insureand Go's Travel Card.
