Interest is credited annually. Tax is payable and will be deducted at the savings rate, currently 20%. Investors of £50,000 and above can elect to receive interest gross. At the end of the term, you may choose to re-invest in a new bond or similar investment, or have your capital and interest repaid.
High Interest Fixed Rate Bonds are available for a limited period only and may close early if oversubscribed.
