Jeremy Parrish – Chairman
During his 40 year career in financial services Jeremy has held numerous senior positions at Standard Chartered plc, including Global Head of Financial Institutions, Regional Head of Wholesale client relationships Europe, CEO Japan, CEO UAE and CEO Switzerland. Jeremy also serves as Chairman of the Board of Crown Agents Bank and Crown Agents Investment Management and as an independent NED at Julius Baer International Ltd in London where he Chairs their Risk and Audit Committee. He also acts as Chairman of the Trustees of The Challenger Trust, a U.K. registered charity helping underprivileged children prepare themselves for the workplace.
Trevor Johnson – Non-Executive Director
Trevor is a qualified banker with 31 years’ experience with the UK’s Cooperative Bank. During the 1980s he held a number of senior positions including Controller of the Bank’s Inspection and Development Departments. In 1989 he was appointed as an Executive Director of Unity Trust Bank, a Cooperative subsidiary, providing bespoke services to UK Trade Unions and their members. In 1991 Trevor was appointed as a Director of Lenlyn Holdings and International Currency Exchange (ICE) and became a non Executive Director of Raphaels Bank in October 2008.
Mark Adams – Non-Executive Director, Chair of Audit and Risk Committee
Mark Adams was a Corporate Finance partner in the London office of Deloitte LLP, specialising in restructuring and advisory engagements on Financial Services entities in the UK and internationally. Mark led significant engagements involving, banks, insurance companies, structured investment vehicles, and insurance brokers, and has spent nearly 30 years specialising in Financial Services. Mark’s clients included various stakeholders, including UK authorities, bondholders, bank lenders, and corporate boards. Mark retired from Deloitte LLP in 2013. Since 2015 Mark has been a non-executive director of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Risk Committee and Nominations Committee. Mark is a Physics graduate of Oxford University, and a Chartered Accountant.
Michael Redican – Chief Executive Officer
Michael retired from Deutsche Bank AG in May 2015, after 28 years, latterly as a Managing Director in the Global Markets division. He has more than 30 years banking experience having worked in Corporate Banking, Structured Finance and Project Finance. He has worked on power, infrastructure, oil and gas, mining and utility transactions in UK, Europe, Asia, Middle East and USA.
Richard Wells – Deputy CEO
Richard joined Raphaels Bank as Finance Director in May 2011, he has responsibility for Finance, Treasury, the Bank’s HR and IT. Richard has previously held Finance Director roles at Pensions Bank and Norwich and Peterborough Building Society. Richard’s career has included over 25 years in Retail Financial Services. As well as managing Finance and Treasury functions, Richard has also led Facilities, Change Management, HR, and Training departments. Richard’s first role in financial services followed a secondment from KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. Richard has also been a non-executive Director at Renewables East, a publicly funded agency promoting the growth of Renewable technologies.
